Plant description
Botanical family: Lauraceae
Cinnamon is a tropical evergreen tree that grows to a height of about 25-60 feet. It produces shiny green leathery leaves and clusters of small yellow flowers that develop into light blue berries. Its leaves and bark are highly fragrant, and both are distilled for making essential oils.

History / Fun Facts
Cinnamon essential oil is one of the oils in the legendary Four Thieves Vinegar oil blend. The oil is said to have been used by a band of thieves during the 15th Century Bubonic Plague. Uses / Benefits
Cardiovascular disease, infections, digestive complaints, stomach ulcers, helps to open respiratory passages. The oil is warming, so helps to relax tight muscles and decrease muscle pain. Beneficial in regulating menstruation. Helps to break down subcutaneous cellulite. Also used as a disinfectant and insect repellents. Popular for natural perfume making.
